Mexican Picadillo
Our authentic Mexican Picadillo features the rich flavors from our HERDEZ® Salsa Ranchera. This dish works for lunch or dinner, served up with rice and tortillas!

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1-2 serrano peppers, diced
- 1 large russet potato, diced into 1/2” cubes
- 1-pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 7-ounces HERDEZ® Salsa Ranchera Medium
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Mexican oregano
- 1/2 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro
SERVE
- Rice
- Tortillas
Directions
- In large saucepan, over medium-high heat, cook olive oil, onions, pepper and potatoes for 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef and garlic, cook additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in HERDEZ® Salsa Ranchera Medium, beef broth and seasonings. Simmer 20 minutes.
- Top with cilantro and serve with rice and tortillas.
